Removing the hydraulic cylinder for the convertible top brace

- When carrying out all repair work, secure soft top and soft top compartment lid with a suitable support tool against collapsing. Ensure soft top is supported in the middle.
- Move the convertible top (1) into the shown position.
The convertible top (1) must be closed.
- Make sure the convertible top cover is (2) completely open.
- Make sure the convertible top (1) is no longer locked in area (3).
- Switch off ignition.
The convertible top system will be depressurized after approx. 7 min and can then be manually moved.
NOTE: To make the convertible top system depressurize faster: Long press the audio button. The convertible top system is then depressurized after just a few seconds. - Detach the retaining clip (1).
- Feed out the top guide pin (2).
- Detach the safety gate (3).
- Feed out the bottom guide pin (4).
- Feed out the hydraulic cylinder for the convertible top brace (5).
- Unfasten cable tie.
- Protect the working area from escaping hydraulic fluid.
- Push the lock plates (1) towards the outer and remove.
- Remove hydraulic lines (2),
- Remove the hydraulic cylinder (3).
