Removing upper cross connection

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVING THE CENTER ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVER .
Refer to REMOVING BOTH FRONT-END STRUTS .

Loosen screws (1).
Feed out support (2) of upper air flap control.

Detach Bowden cable (1) from upper cross connection (2).
Loosen screws (3).
Remove upper cross connection (2) upwards with brackets (4).
