Removing the outer front window channel strip
Precondition
- Side window glass is open.
Preliminary work
- Refer to PREPARING THE SPECIAL TOOL .
NOTE:
To provide a better overview: Schematic diagram with partially hidden components.
- Insert the special tool 0 495 484 (00 9 324) at the rear into the window cavity.
- Position the special tool 0 495 484 (00 9 324)
as shown at the lower edge of the front outer window channel strip (1) with the short shank (2).
- Position the special tool 0 496 570 (00 9 326) on the door trim panel (1).
- Use a suitable tool (2) to support the special tool 0 496 570 (00 9 326) and move the lever in the direction of the arrow.
- When this happens, the special tool 0 495 484 (00 9 324) lifts the front outer window channel strip (3) upwards.
- Repeat this process step by step until the front outer window channel strip (3) is completely removed.
