Installing The Tail Panel
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the left and right side.
- Pre-clean bonding surfaces on vehicle and on new part with cleaning agent R2.CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION
Cleaning agent R2 500 ml 83190417324 - Clean bonding surfaces on vehicle and on new part with cleaning agent R1.CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION
Cleaning agent R1 100 ml, Bottle 83192211217 - Apply adhesive K5 to the bonding surfaces.ADHESIVE SPECIFICATION
Body adhesive K5 195 ml 83195A59935 - Do not apply any adhesive in the area (1) of the MAG welded connection.
- Install the tail cowling and rivet it in the area (1) with blind rivets N3.CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION
Blind rivet N3 83190301421 Ø 4 mm; clamping area 1-3 mm - In area (1), rivet the tail cowling with blind rivets N3. Consumable
Blind rivet N3 83190301421 Ø 4 mm; clamping area 1-3 mm - Weld the new part in areas (2) according to the new part preparation process.
- Rivet the tail cowling in the areas (1) and (2) with punch rivets N5.

- Drill a hole with a diameter of 4.2 mm.
In the case of glued connections, only drill the hole after the adhesive has fully hardened.
- Screw in the EMC screw.CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION

Sealant D1 (seam sealing) 310 ml 83422409985 NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Avoid contact of the escaped adhesive with the support for the bumper cover. Do not use any cleaning agents containing solvents. - Press in the tail cowling in area (1) and remove the emerging adhesive.
- Before the adhesive hardens, install the support for the bumper cover.
- After the adhesive has hardened, install 2 EMC screws in the areas (2) shown.CONSUMABLE SPECIFICATION
