Installing the tension spring for the left tailgate

• Before installing the tension spring (1), make sure that the retaining spring (2) is in its initial position in the arrow direction.
• Check the retaining spring (2) for damage; replace the tension spring (1) if necessary.

• Position the tension spring (1) at the ball sockets on the ball pins and snap it in with force.

  The gas pressure spring must not be pressed in the center, but must always be pressed on the ball pins at the ball sockets.

  The tension spring (1) must snap in correctly and audibly.
