Installing the underbody protection of the steering gear or the front thrust field
Precondition
Underbody protection in the front partially released or removed.

Insert and position the front stiffening plate (1).
Replace screws (2).
Parts: Screws
Tighten down screws (2).
TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATIONThrust field to front axle support M8
Replace screws.Joining torque 25 Nm Angle of rotation 70° - Tighten down screws (3).TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION
Cover, steering unit screw Tightening torque 3 Nm - Version B:
Feed in and position the front stiffening plate (3).
Replace screws (2).

Tighten down screws (2).

Replace screws.Joining torque 56 Nm Angle of rotation 90° - Version C:
Guide in the underbody protection (1) of the steering gear and position it.
Tighten screws (arrows).
