Remove the tension spring for the trunk lid on the left
Precondition
- Trunk lid is open.
CAUTION:
Shutting hood or trunk lid

- Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.

- First, uninstall the ball socket on the body, then the ball socket on the trunk lid.
- Push on clamp (5) in direction of groove with a screwdriver.
- Lift the ball socket (6) off of the ball hub.
- Push the clamp (5) back into the initial position.
- Slightly raise the retaining spring (3) with a small screwdriver (4) as shown and lift the spindle drive (2) away from the ball hub.NOTE: Lightly press the ball socket onto the ball hub.
(Relieve retaining spring) - Remove tension spring (1).
