Replace Hood
WARNING:
Working on 12 V electrical system.

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE EMBLEM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE NOZZLE CHAIN .
- Refer to REMOVE HOOD .
- Undo all clips using special tool 2 298 505 .
- Remove damping layer (1) and install on the new hood.
- Fit all clips.NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Undo all clips using special tool 2 298 505 .
- Remove damping layer (2) and install on the new hood.
- Fit all clips.
- Remove seal plugs (1) and (2) and install on the new hood.
- Remove clip (1) and install on the new hood.
- Replace faulty clips (1).
- Remove seal plugs (1) and (3) and install on the new hood.
- Remove clip (2) and install on the new hood.
- Replace faulty clips (2).
- Remove spacer (1) and install on the new hood.NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Remove spacer (2) and install on the new hood.
- Attach sign (1) to the new hood.
Paste auxiliary heater sign
- Paste sign (1) on the new hood.
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the right and left side.
- Loosen the expanding rivet (1).
- Remove stop pad (2) and install on the new hood.
- Loosen screws (3).
- Remove striker (4) and install on the new hood.
- Tighten down screws (3).
TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS
