RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to battery terminal, the safety battery terminal or the intelligent battery sensor (IBS).
Damaged battery terminals can lead to malfunctions or vehicle electrical system faults.

- Detach battery terminal from battery pole by carefully shifting to and fro. Do not pry off using a tool.
- Slacken nut (1) .
- Unlock and disconnect plug connection (2) to the intelligent battery sensor (IBS).
- Loosen nut (3) .
- Detach the battery ground lead (4) from the negative battery terminal and remove it.
- Tighten the negative battery cable (4) using the nut (3) .
TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

- Connect and lock the connector (2) to the intelligent battery sensor (IBS).
- Connect the negative battery terminal to the negative battery terminal.
- Tighten nut (1) .
