Depending on the delivery status of the engine exchange, various installed parts (holders, clamps, etc.) must be removed from the existing engine and remounted in the new engine exchange.
Check existing engine for installed parts; if necessary, remount installed parts in the new engine exchange.

Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE COMPLETE FRONT AXLE WITH THE ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION .
- Refer to INSTALLING THE ENGINE ON THE ASSEMBLY JIG .

- The use of the specified special tool (tool) is mandatory.
- Carry out the described steps properly.
- Release the belt tensioner (2)
clockwise with a suitable socket wrench (1)
.
- Maintain the preload of the belt tensioner (1) using a suitable socket wrench (3) .
- Secure the belt tensioner (1)
against turning with the special tool 0 496 268 (11 0 390) (2)
.
- Remove belt (1) .
