Removing the rear lane change warning sensor
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
If, in the event of side damage to the vehicle, it is not necessary to replace the tail panel, observe the following points:
Mount the guide of the center bumper panel on the side that is not damaged.
Use the guide of the center bumper panel as a gauge to check and/or correct the position of the remaining connecting points.
You must be able to mount the guide of the center bumper panel without tension.
If, in the event of side damage to the vehicle, it is not necessary to replace the tail panel, observe the following points:
Mount the guide of the center bumper panel on the side that is not damaged.
Use the guide of the center bumper panel as a gauge to check and/or correct the position of the remaining connecting points.
You must be able to mount the guide of the center bumper panel without tension.
Preliminary work

- Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANEL ON LEFT .
- Refer to REMOVING BOTH TAIL LIGHTS FROM THE SIDE PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM FROM THE REAR BUMPER PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING BOTH EXHAUST TAILPIPE TRIMS .
- Refer to REMOVING REAR BUMPER PANEL .
NOTE:
The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.
- Unlock and remove the absorber (1)
at the snap-in lugs (2)
.
- Unlock and disconnect connector (1) .
- Unlock the detents and remove the lane change warning sensor (2) in the direction of the arrow.
