Removing and installing/replacing the SDARS (SDARS), (US version from 09/2009 only) (330i xDrive Wagon, 328d xDrive Wagon, 330i GT xDrive, 340i GT xDrive)

Preliminary work needed:

Remove CAR INFORMATION COMPUTER (CIC) .

For equipment specification with head unit:

Remove either HEADUNIT BASIS or HEADUNIT (HU-H) .

When replacing, please observe:

Note SID number (1) of the removed device.

NOTE: The SID number (1) can be found on the label of the housing. Location may be different, depending on the equipment manufacturer.

Note SID number (1) of the new device in the same way.

Input the enabling code from the applicable BMW Aftersales Assistance information.
