Removing and installing/replacing rear spoiler (330i GT xDrive, 340i GT xDrive)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove rear lid TRIM .

Extend rear spoiler (1).

Danger of injury by trapping !

Unclip water drain channel (2).

Installation note:

Make sure drain hose and water drain channel (2) are securely positioned and leak tight.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Unfasten screws (2).

NOTE: Shown with rear spoiler removed for purposes of clarity.

Undo all retainers (1) and nuts (2).

Tightening torque 51 71 6AZ .

Close the tailgate and remove the rear spoiler toward the top.

Installation note:

Attach retainers (1) before fitting the rear spoiler.

All the guides, threaded bolts and sealing (2) must remain free from damage.

Check the gap dimensions of the rear spoiler for the body, if necessary adjust REAR SPOILER .

Replacement:

Remount rear spoiler TRIM .
