Mounting the head airbag

- Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery ground lead from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

NOTE:
The head airbag must
be positioned so that the printed colored line over the entire length of the component points in the direction of the vehicle interior to ensure it will function correctly.
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
- Feed in and correctly position the head airbag (2).
- Tighten down screw (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
Head airbag to bodyshell Screw tightening torque 8 Nm - Clip in the cable clip (1).
- Clip in the clamps (1).
- Feed in the gas generator (3) with the folding pack and correctly position.
- Tighten the screws (2).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
Head airbag to bodyshell Screw tightening torque 8 Nm - Connect connectors (1) and lock.
- Clip in the clamps (1).
- Clip in the clamp (1).
- Tighten down screw (2).
