Installing the rear upper seat belt

- Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery ground lead from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Clean all threaded belt connections with micro-encapsulated outer and internal threads.
Shavings or other debris must not remain in the components.
If a microencapsulated screw is reused, it must be coated with the following screw locking agent: Loctite 243, medium strength .
The screw connection must be completed within 10 minutes as hardening begins after this period.

- Feed the seat belt retractor (1) into the foam part (2).
- Feed in and position the seat belt retractor with the foam part (4).
- Replace the screw (3).

- Tighten down screw (3).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
Rear seat belt retractor to body M10
Replace screw.Tightening torque 42 Nm - Tighten the screws (2).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
Additional connection of rear seat belt retractor to body Hexagon screw M6 Tightening torque 4.5 Nm - Connect connectors (1) and lock.
