Releasing the output shaft on the left and right from the rear axle differential
NOTE:
Perform the steps on the left and right side.
Detach the output shaft from the rear axle differential
- Position the special tool at the circumferential slot (1) of the output shaft.
- Press the driven shaft out of the rear axle differential using the special tool 0 495 851 (33 5 120) and, depending on the design version of the driven shaft, using the appropriate special tool 0 495 856 (33 5 124) , 0 496 765 (33 5 126) , 2 360 787 , 0 496 862 , or, using a jerky motion.
