Carrying out the service function "Open and close the radiator blind" (air flap control)

Precondition

Hood is closed.

Ignition is switched on.

NOTE: RISK OF DAMAGE
Fault memory entry/damage to the air flap control when disconnecting the negative battery cable.
Damage to the kinematics of the air flap control.

Open the air flap control completely according to the diagnosis instructions, before the negative battery cable must be disconnected.

Only carry out the following steps if the negative battery cable is disconnected for this purpose.
Connect diagnostic system:
- Service functions
- Power train
- Engine electrical system
- Radiator blind
- Open the radiator blind
