Installing rear right door trim panel
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Installing rear door trim panel
NOTE:
Schematic diagram is for example purposes. Some parts may differ in certain details.
- Check the stop pad (1) for damage, replace if necessary.
- Check the clips (1) for damage and replace if necessary.
- Press the door handle in the closed direction.
- Guide in the Bowden cable for the door handle (2) and clip in with the detent (1).
- Connect connectors (3) and lock.
- Position the operating rod (2) on the door trim panel (1) and feed it in.
- Clip in the door trim panel (1) with the clamps (3) and (4).
- Clip in the door trim panel (1) at the clamps (5).
- Ensure that the door trim panel is not pressed in the area of the accent strip as it may damage the fiber optic cable otherwise.
- Clip in the door trim panel at the marked positions in the order shown.
- Tighten down screw (1).

Check
- Check the detents (1) of the cover (2) for damage.
Result
» Detents (1) are damaged.
Measure
- Replace the cover (2).
- Guide in the cover of the handle recess (1) and clip in with the detents (2).

- Check the detents (1) of the cover (2) for damage.
Result
» Detents (1) are damaged.
Measure
- Replace the cover (2).
- Tighten down screw (1).TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
Rear door trim panel to door Screw TS5x20 Tightening torque 2.6 Nm - Pull the door opener.
- Guide in the cover of the door handle (1).
- Clip in the cover of the door handle (1) with the detents (2).
