Installing the hydraulic cylinder for the convertible top brace
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
- Protect the working area from escaping hydraulic fluid.
- Check the seal (1)
of the hydraulic line (2)
for correct fit and damage, and replace it if necessary.
- Position the hydraulic lines (2) on the hydraulic cylinder (3) .
- Slide the locking plates (1) on from the outside, and lock them.
- Fasten the cable tie.
- Feed in and position the hydraulic cylinder for the convertible top brace (3) .
NOTE:
For ease of positioning, the hydraulic cylinder can be extended and retracted slowly by hand.
- Feed in the guide pins (2) at the bottom and top.
- Slide on the retaining clips (1)
.
- Fold the convertible top brace (1) to the top.
- Feed in the left and right safety loops (2) .
The convertible top brace is held in position by the safety loops.
