Removing the receiver audio module (RAM)

- Leave the electrical components in their original packaging until they are being installed. Only use the original packaging for returning the product. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only tap the housings of electrical components. Do not tap pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR COVERING .
- Refer to REMOVING THE LOADING EDGE TRIM .
- Refer to REMOVING THE UPPER LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANELS .
- Refer to REMOVING LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM PANEL .
- Unlock and disconnect all plug connections in area (1).
- Release all the cable brackets in area (1).
- Loosen screw (2).
- Release nuts (3).
- Guide out and remove (RAM) (4) with the holder.
Equipment specification with Park Assistant Plus (5DN): Remove the TRSVC control unit
Remove the TRSVC control unit
- Unlock and disconnect all plug connections in area (1).
- Release all the cable brackets in area (1).
- Loosen screw (2).
- Release nuts (3).
- Feed out and turn around the Receiver Audio Module (RAM) (4) with the bracket.
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
- Release the cable detents (2).
- Feed out and remove the TRSVC control unit (3) with the bracket.
