Remove the inside front weather strip

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.

Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

- Refer to DISCONNECTING ALL BATTERY GROUND LEADS .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING THE MIRROR TRIANGLE .
- Refer to REMOVING EXTERIOR MIRROR .
- Refer to REMOVING OUTER WINDOW CHANNEL STRIP .
- Refer to REMOVING THE WINDOW CHANNEL STRIP (FRONT) ON THE FRONT DOOR .
- Refer to RELEASING THE FRONT DOOR WINDOW GLASS .
- Refer to REMOVING THE MODULE BRACKET FROM THE FRONT DOOR .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT DOOR WINDOW GLASS .
- Release the clip (1).
- Release the window recess finisher strip (2) on to the clip (3).
- Release the window recess finisher strip (2) from the clips (1).
- Feed out the window recess finisher strip (1) from the window guide rail (2).
- Carefully feed out the window recess finisher strip (1) upwards from the door and remove it.
