Remove the cover of the left and right luggage compartment side shelf

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Removing the luggage compartment cover

Precondition

Rear seat backrest is folded.

Attach the special tool 2 298 505 as shown.
Release the cover of the luggage compartment side shelf beginning from the rear with the clamps (1) and the detent (2).
Feed the cover of the luggage compartment side shelf out of the sealing lip of the tailgate seal.

Loosen the detents (1).
Release the cover of the luggage compartment trim panel with the clip (2) and remove.
