Removing C-pillar trim panel

Damage to the head airbag.
Improper use of a tool when removing the trim panel may damage the head airbag.

Improper use of a tool when removing the trim panel may damage the head airbag.
- Do not use sharp-edged tools when removing the trim panel.
- Unclip cover (1) on C-pillar trim panel.
- Loosen screw (2).
- Unclip the C-pillar trim panel (2) at the clips (1) and feed it out.

- Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery ground lead from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

- Unclip the cover (1) and release the screw under that.
- Unclip the C-pillar trim panel (2) with the clamps (3).
- Feed out the C-pillar trim panel (2) under the sealing lip of the door weather strip and remove.
