Installing the spindle drive of the tailgate on the left and right
CAUTION:
Shutting hood or trunk lid.

- Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.
NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE
Damage to the spindle drive.
If the trunk lid is not opened completely, the spindle drive may be damaged.

- Remove and install the spindle drive only when the Trunk lid is open to the maximum extent.

NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
- Before installing the spindle drive, (1) make sure that the top and bottom clamps (2) are in their initial position.
- Fit the spindle drive (3) with the funnel (4).
- Press the spindle drive (3) onto the ball hub (1), both on the top and at the bottom, until the clamps (2) engage audibly.
- Feed in the funnel (2) below the sealing lip of the tailgate seal.
- Clip the funnel (2) into the clamps (3).
- Connect connectors (1) and lock.
