Installing the removed EME
NOTE:

Pressure on the lid or bus bars results in destruction of the components in the electrical machine electronics.

- Do not exert any pressure on the lid of the electrical machine electronics.
- Do not exert any pressure on the bus bars of the electrical machine electronics.
- Do not place any tools or objects on the lid of the electrical machine electronics.
- Do not place it on lid (1).
Repair information relating to high-voltage components
- Remove the lid of the special tool 5 A2D AC5
.
- Position the special tool 5 A2D AF0
on EME (2) as shown and secure it using knurled screw (1).
- Position the special tool 5 A2D AF2
on EME (2) as shown and secure it using knurled screw (1).
- Raise EME (1) out of special tool 5 A2D AC5
.
- Remove and dispose of seals (1) and (2).
- Clean the sealing surfaces (1) and (2) with the brake cleaner.

- Dry sealing surfaces (1) and (2) with a clean, lint-free cleaning cloth.
- Replace the seals (1).

- Replace gasket (2).

- Position the EME (1) in the electrical machine.
- Remove special tools.
- Tighten the screws (1).

- Do not touch conductor lines!
- Attach excitation cable (5) to the terminals using nuts (1).

- Secure Y-line (6) using screw (2).

- Tighten the screws (3).

- Close the plug connection (4).
- Tighten the screws (1).

Installing the lid of the high-voltage connection
- Clean sealing surface (1).

- Dry the sealing surface (1) with a clean, lint-free cleaning cloth.
- Replace lid (2).

- Install the lid (2).
- Tighten the screws (1).

- Close the plug connection (2).
- Close the retainer (1) in arrow direction.
