Install the rear window

Install the rear window
- Check the seal (1) on the rear window for damage, replace if necessary.
- Replacement:
Stick the seal (1) on the left and right on the marks of the rear window.
- Replace the left and right Dual Lock tapes (2).
Parts: Dual lock straps
- Keep 2 glue cartridges ready.
- Prepare 1 glue cartridge with standard nozzle C.
- Apply bead joint in area (3).
- Apply adhesive bead within the mark (tolerance band) on the rear window.
- Carefully perform the following actions on the rear window (1) with the suction lifter
- Set on bottom
- Align sides evenly
- Press it evenly and adjust the gap dimension
Make sure that the gap seal (3) on the left and right lies on the tailgate correctly.

- Measure the recess (A) of the rear window (1) to the roof outer skin (2) with the special tool 0 495 259 (51 0 010) .
- Measure recessed (A) on left and right at the outer edge of the rear window.
- Measure gap dimension (B) with the special tool 0 496 076 (00 9 470) .
- Engage the rear window into the hook and loop tapes (Dual Lock tape) in this position and affix to the roof with adhesive tape.
- Connect connectors (3) and lock.
- Connect and lock connectors (2) and clip in at the cable brackets.
- Tighten the screws (1).
