Remove the backrest cover with the upholstery for the front seat

WARNING: Airbag unit. 
Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries! 

• Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery ground lead from the battery.
• Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

• All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
• Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

• Detach the backrest cover (1) in this area (2).
• Disconnect the plug connection (3) and unclip the available cable clips.

• Detach (1) the holder.
• Loosen nuts (2).

• Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

• Pull out the backrest cover upwards (1) completely with the side airbag.

• Detach the holder.

• Unclip clips (1).
• Unlock plug connection (2) and disconnect.

• Detach (1) the holder.
• Loosen nuts (2).

• Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

• Clip in backrest covering in the marked areas in backrest frame.
• Removing the backrest cover with the upholstery for the comfort seat.
• Thread the backrest cover 1 in completely with the side airbag in direction of arrow.
