Partially installing the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel

Position the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel and clip it in with the clip (2).
Guide the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel in under the sealing lip of the tailgate seal.
Secure expanding rivet (1).

Position the rear lashing eye (3) and tighten the screw (2).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Lashing point to body
M8 screw	Tightening torque	19 Nm

Clip in the cover (1).

Install the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel on right partially

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The number of connectors on the described component may vary depending on the equipment version.
If necessary, unlock and disconnect, or connect and lock, all other connectors.

Connect connectors (1) and lock.
Swivel the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel outward.

Position the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel and clip in with the clip (2).
Feed in the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel under the sealing lip of the tailgate seal.
Secure expanding rivet (1).

Fold out multi-function hook (1).

Tighten down screw (3).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Control unit to mount
Oval-head screw for thermoplastic	Tightening torque	3 Nm

Clip in the cover (2).
Fold in the multifunction hook (1).

Installing the emergency release handle for the tailgate (additional work for US version)

Attach the Bowden cable (2).
Fasten the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate to the holder.
