Preparing New Part

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Adhesive technology in the area of the outer skin (not for structural adhesion):
The bonding surfaces of the new parts may not sharpened or ground.

NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.

Make separating cuts (1) as shown.
Bend the sections (2) inwards at the curved lines (3) in the arrow direction.
NOTE: Tie back sheet metal cutouts 2 only after the final assembly of the new part. 2 blind rivets are installed in areas 2. Make the bores for them only after the final assembly of the new part and tying back the cutouts.

If necessary, increase size of bores (1) by a maximum of 10 mm in diameter.

Install the outer skin and the inner section of the tail cowling together as a combination.
Adjust and fix the new parts together with the tailgate and the tail lights.

Areas (1) to (3): Make bores of Ø 4.2 mm for the blind rivet.

Prepare areas (1) to (3) for joining using the bonded rivet method (punch rivets).
Remove new parts and deburr bores.
