Installing luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel on right

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The number of connectors on the described component may vary depending on the equipment version.
If necessary, unlock and disconnect, or connect and lock, all other connectors.

Position the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel and feed in over the retaining clip (2).
Connect connectors (1) and lock.

Feed in the luggage compartment wheel arch trim panel under the sealing lip of the tailgate seal.
Clip in the clip (2) and fasten the expanding rivets (1).

Fold out multi-function hook (1).

Tighten down screw (3).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Control unit to mount
Oval-head screw for thermoplastic	Tightening torque	3 Nm

Clip in the cover (2).
Fold in the multifunction hook (1).

Installing the emergency release handle for the tailgate (additional work for US version)

Attach the Bowden cable (2).
Fasten the emergency release handle (1) for the tailgate to the holder.

Secure multi-function hook with expanding rivet (4).

Tighten screws (3) of lashing eyes (2).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Lashing point to body
M8 screw	Tightening torque	19 Nm
