Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING REAR DECK .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM FOR THE TOP REAR WINDOW FRAME .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM FOR THE REAR WINDOW FRAME ON THE LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE .
- Refer to REMOVING THE POWER TAILGATE SWITCH .
- Refer to REMOVING TAILGATE TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING AUXILIARY BRAKE LIGHT .
- Loosen screws (1).
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections (2) and unclip them from the cable brackets.
- Unlock plug connections (3) and disconnect.
- Secure cable to rear window with adhesive tape.
- Tape off body in area of piercing point with fabric adhesive tape.
- Push the thread along the line (1) fro the inside through the adhesive bead (2).
- Cut out the rear window using the spider.
