Preparing New Part

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Adhesive technology in the area of the outer skin (not for structural adhesion):
The bonding surfaces of the new parts may not sharpened or ground.

NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.

Perform the separating cut (1) as shown.
Bend the section (2) inward to the bending line (3).

If necessary, increase size of bores (1) by a maximum of 10 mm in diameter.

Adjust and fix the new part in combination with the tailgate and tail lights.

In the area (1), set 12 x Ø 4.2 mm bores for blind rivets.

In the area (1), set 11 x Ø 4.2 mm bores for blind rivets.

Prepare areas (1) (3) for joining using the bonded rivet method (with punch rivets).
Remove new parts and deburr bores.
