Install the left-hand and right-hand crash lever

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Different variants may be installed depending on the vehicle equipment.

NOTE: The following step(s) must be performed if the listed component(s) is/are installed.

NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.

Version A:

Position the crash lever (3) on the front subframe.

Tighten screws (1) and (2).

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Crash lever on frame/adapter of front subframe
M14	Tightening torque 100 Nm

Version B:
Replace the cage nut (1).

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Tighten the screw connection in the NORMAL POSITION .
Position the tension strut and crash lever (2) on the front subframe.
Replace the screw (1).
Parts: Screw
Feed in screw (1) and tighten hand-tight.
The screw connection is tightened later in NORMAL POSITION .
On version B: Install the front underbody protection (1) and the lower wheel arch covers (2) only after tightening the threaded connection of the tension strut at the front subframe.
