Installing the support for the bumper cover

NOTE: The operations shown only for one side must be carried out on both sides.

Feed in the support for the bumper cover (3) from the front.
If necessary, connect any present connectors.
Replace screws (2) .
Parts: Screws
Position the screws (2) and hand-tighten them.
Position the screws (1) and hand-tighten them.

Position the support (1) so that the bore (3) is in the center to the recess (4) .
The surfaces (2) must be parallel to each other while doing so.
Position the support (1) so that the surfaces (2) are parallel to each other.

Tighten the screws (2) .

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Front bumper bracket to engine mount
Hexagon screw with flange Replace screw	Tightening torque	100 Nm
Hexagon screw with flange Replace screw	Angle of rotation	180°

TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION

Vertical connection to deformation element
Hexagon screw	Tightening torque	21 Nm

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The setpoint torque deviates from the adjustable torque when using special tool 2 464 950.

Convert setpoint torque into adjustable torque:
(setpoint torque * L1)/L2 = adjustable torque

L1 = length from the center of the grip to the reversible ratchet head

L2 = length from the center of the grip to the center point of the ring on the special tool
Tighten the screw (1) with the special tool 2 464 950 and the torque wrench.
The special tool and torque wrench must be aligned with tightening the screw.
