11 14 290 Removing and installing/replacing front acoustic cover (230i and 230i xDrive coupe/convertible)

Necessary preliminary work: 

• Refer to REMOVING AIR DUCT .
• Refer to REMOVING CHARGE AIR LINE .

Removal: 

Cut through the acoustic cover (1) in the marked area.

Release all expanding rivets in marked areas.

Remove acoustic cover (1).

Installation: 

Check if the acoustic cover (1) is cut through in the marked area.

If necessary, cut through the acoustic cover (1) in the marked area.

Feed in the acoustic cover (1) and position.

Fit all expanding rivets in marked areas.
