Removing the low-temperature coolant expansion tank
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Only flexible hose pipes may be clamped off.

- Disconnect coolant hose (1) using special tool 0 491 256 (13 3 010) .
- Plastic tubes must not be detached with clamping pliers.
- Release screw (1) on coolant expansion tank (2).
- Open the lid (1) on the coolant expansion tank.
- Suction the coolant using a commercially available syringe (1) or a suitable tool.
- Prepare a standard waterproof rubber mat (1).

NOTE:

- Position the pressure sensor on cylinder head cover.
- (2) (1) (3) Make sure that the rubber mat covers the areas between the expansion tank and the cylinder head cover in the area of the injector shafts.

- Unlock and disconnect the coolant hose (1).
- Press in lock (2) and detach coolant lines (3).
- Remove the low-temperature coolant expansion tank.
