- Secure the vehicle hoist against lowering and lifting.
- Make sure that the vehicle does not lift off the mounting plates on the vehicle lift.

Grease the threads of new oxygen sensors thinly and evenly.
For oxygen sensors that are reused, the following should be observed:
Thinly and evenly grease the oxygen sensor on the thread only. Do not clean the part of the oxygen sensor that does not protrude into the exhaust line (sensor ceramics) and do not grease.

Removing the version with gasoline particulate filter for cylinders 5 to 8
Removing the differential pressure sensor of the cylinders 5 to 8
- Release nut (2).
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unclip the hose (4) from the clamp (3).
- Release nut (1).
- Unclip the pressure line (2) out of the clamps (3).
- Loosen screw (2).
- Slide the V-ribbon clip (1) toward the top onto the catalytic converter near the engine.
- Loosen nuts (2).
- Remove the catalytic converter near the engine (3) from the stud bolts (1).
- Feed out the catalytic converter near the engine (3) downward.
