Replacing gutter strip on the windshield

Replace the gutter strip.
Parts: Gutter strip
Paint the gutter strip trim before it is mounted.
Remove the lugs (1) after painting.
Clean the adhesive area (2).

Cleaning agent R2 500 ml 83190417324

Remove protective film (1).
Stick double-sided adhesive tape (2) over the entire length of the existing adhesive tape to ensure a sufficient bonded connection.

Remove the protective film on the upper end a little (approx. 5 cm).
Position the support (1) as shown flush on the trim (2) (arrows), start at the upper end of the support (1) while doing so.
Insert the support (1) at an angle in the trim (2) and align it correctly.
Detach the protective film completely and press down the support (1) with the trim (2) firmly with the hand over the entire length.
