Removing the number plate baseplate for the front license plate
WARNING:

- Only install the license plate and number plate baseplate according to the predefined dimensions in the repair instructions.
- Attach the license plate and number plate baseplate to the bumper cover without pre-drilling , otherwise there is a risk of damage to the cables underneath.
- Only use number plate baseplates that have been approved for the vehicle type.
NOTE:
TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The license plate must be precisely mounted on the number plate baseplate and must not protrude on the underside.
The license-plate carrier must not be installed on the front bumper.

- With US version, Chinese version and Japanese version:
Loosen screws (1).
Detach and remove the number plate baseplate (2) from the guides (3).
- With European version with M Aerodynamic package:
- Loosen screws (1).
- Detach and remove the number plate baseplate (2) from the guides.
- G08 Vehicles from 01.09.21 do not have number plate baseplates.
