Remove front bumper cover

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
To ensure the quality of the Driver Assistance functions in vehicles with concealed radar sensors, the component may only be repainted in compliance with the following instructions:
No stickers or films (transparent or colored) may be affixed in the transmission areas of the radar sensors.
If there are no radar sensors fitted, the component may be painted.
The following features can be used to identify whether radar sensors are installed on the vehicle:
Radar sensors are installed at the rear if the triangular warning lamp is present on the exterior mirror (in the mirror glass or on the mirror frame).
Radar sensors are installed at the front and rear if the triangular warning light is present on the exterior mirror (in the mirror glass or on the mirror frame) in conjunction with optional equipment S5ATA or S5AUA.

Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE LEFT AND FRONT RIGHT WHEEL ARCH TRIM .
Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE FRONT SECTIONS OF BOTH WHEEL ARCH COVERS AT THE FRONT .

Loosen screws (1) .

NOTE: Perform the steps on the left and right side.

Loosen screws (1) .
Release the bumper cover (2) from the detents (3) .
Unlock plug connection (4) and disconnect.

Unlock the plug connection (1) in the right wheel arch and disconnect.
Remove plug connection (1) from holder (2) .

Loosen screws (1) .

Release the bumper cover (1) in the area of the top air flap control from the mountings (2) .
Remove bumper cover (1) towards front.
