Remove front brake hose

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

WARNING: Vehicle may slip off the vehicle hoist if the vehicle hoist is handled incorrectly.
Danger! Immobilization period-threatening injuries!

NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Use only BMW-APPROVED BRAKE FLUIDS . Refer to the "Fluid Capacities" tab for the selected vehicle.

Preliminary work

Detach the brake hose (1) from the brake caliper and provide counter support at the knurling (2) as needed.
Detach the brake hose from the holder (3).

Detach the brake hose from the holder (1).
Unscrew the union screw (2) and use the square shaft (3) for counter support as needed.
