Install the tension spring
CAUTION:
Shutting hood or trunk lid.

- Support hood/trunk lid in fully open position with the aid of a suitable device.
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
- Position the gas spring (1) with the ball sockets on the ball hubs and engage with force.
Follow-up work
- Install the left or right HEADLINING .
- Install left hands-free MICROPHONE .
- Install ROOF FUNCTION CENTER (FZD).
- Install the front left or right vanity MIRROR LIGHT .
- Install the sun visor COUNTER SUPPORT .
- Install the SUN VISOR .
- Install a-pillar TRIM PANEL .
- Install the interior REARVIEW MIRROR .
- Install the interior rearview mirror COVERS .
- Install rear interior ROOF LIGHT .
- Install the left or right HOLDER .
- Install the upper b-pillar TRIM PANEL .
- Install c-pillar TRIM PANEL .
- Install d-pillar TRIM PANEL .
