Removing Lambda oxygen sensor for the cylinders 4 to 6

- Perform all work only on components that have cooled down.
Preliminary work
- Refer to DISCONNECTING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE OF THE SYSTEM BATTERY .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AT THE REAR LEFT .
- Refer to REMOVING THE COVER OF THE REAR RIGHT ENGINE COMPARTMENT .
- Refer to PARTIALLY REMOVING THE MOUNT OF THE HOOD SEAL ON LEFT AND RIGHT .
- Refer to REMOVING SUSPENSION STRUT BRACE .
- Refer to REMOVING INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
Precondition
Battery ground lead is disconnected.

- Make sure that there is no charger connected to the jump start terminal in the engine compartment.
- Detach battery ground lead from battery.
- For auxiliary batteries: Detach battery minus cables from all auxiliary batteries.
- Unlock the clamps (1).
- Feed out air duct (2) in the arrow direction and remove.
- Unlock lock (1).
- Let the lock (1) engage at the holder (arrow).
- Unlock the locks (1).
- Feed out and remove the clean air pipe (2) for cylinders 4 to 6.
- Unlock the locks (1).
- Guide and remove cover (2) in arrow direction.
- Loosen nuts (1).
- Feed out the positive battery cables (2) from the remote positive terminal (3) and set them aside.
- Feed out the positive battery cables (2) from the clamps (4) and set aside.
- Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
- Unlock the locks (arrows).
- Feed the connector (1) out of the carrier plate and place it to one side.
- Feed out the cable (1) from the holder (2) and set aside.
- Feed out the cable (1) from the clamps (3) and set aside.
- Feed out and remove the clamp (1).
- Position the special tool 0 491 075 (11 7 030) with the special tool 0 493 751 (11 9 150) on the Lambda oxygen sensor (1) for the cylinders 4 to 6.
- Release and remove the Lambda oxygen sensor for the cylinders 4 to 6 with the special tool 0 491 075 (11 7 030) and the special tool 0 493 751 (11 9 150)
