Remove the module bracket from the front door
NOTE:
Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work
- Refer to DEACTIVATING THE 48 V ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Refer to DISCONNECTING THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE OF THE SYSTEM BATTERY .
- Refer to REMOVING THE MIRROR TRIANGLE COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE TRIM OF THE DOOR HANDLE .
- Refer to REMOVING FRONT DOOR TRIM PANEL .
- Refer to REMOVING THE OUTSIDE REARVIEW MIRROR FROM THE FRONT DOOR .
- Refer to REMOVING THE WINDOW CHANNEL STRIP ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE FRONT DOOR .
- Secure the door window glass (1) when it is closed on top of the door frame with adhesive tape.
- Spread holder (2) far enough apart using special tools 0 496 569 (009 325) so that the door window glass (1) can be detached.
- At the same time, operate the power electric windows to shift it down approximately 10 cm and thereby detach the holder (2) from the door window glass (1).
- Detach the clips for the door wiring harness (1) from the module bracket (2).
- Unlock and disconnect plug connections of door wiring harness (1) on module bracket (2).
- Loosen screws (1).
- Open locks (2) and remove module bracket (3).
