When replacing the center console trim: Remount the operating facility in the center console

Preliminary work 

• Refer to REMOVING GEARSHIFT LEVER COVER .
• Refer to REMOVING THE DECORATIVE TRIM FROM THE CENTER CONSOLE .
• Refer to REMOVING THE CENTER CONSOLE TRIM .

Remove the operating facility in the center console 

• Release operating facility in the center console (1) from the latch mechanisms (arrows) with the special tool 0 493 681 (64 1 020) .
• Remove the operating facility in the center console (1) from the center console trim (2).

  Install the operating facility in the center console 

• Position operating facility in the center console (1) correctly and engage it in the center console trim (2).
