Removing upper oil sump section (engine removed)

• Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1).
• Disengage the cable bracket (2).

• Position special tool 0 493 936 (11 9 240)  (2) on the oil filter housing.
  NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
  Collect and dispose of emerging fluids.
  Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.
• Release oil filter housing (1).
• Remove oil filter housing (1) with filter.

• Loosen nut (1).
  NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION 
  Collect and dispose of emerging fluids.
  Observe country-specific waste disposal regulations.
• Pull off engine oil pipes (2).

• Loosen screws (1).
• Release screws (2) with the special tool 0 496 646 (11 4 410)  .
