Removing upper cross connection

Driving without the strut brace/front-end strut or tension strut is not permitted.

Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.
Preliminary work
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT HOOD SEAL .
- Refer to REMOVING THE CENTER ENGINE COMPARTMENT COVER .
- Refer to RELEASING LEFT FRONT-END STRUT .
- Refer to REMOVING LEFT INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
- Refer to RELEASING THE RIGHT FRONT-END STRUT .
- Refer to REMOVING RIGHT INTAKE SILENCER HOUSING .
- Loosen screws (1).
- Feed out support (2) of upper air flap control.
- Detach Bowden cable (1) from upper cross connection (2).
- Loosen screws (3).
- Remove upper cross connection (2) upwards with brackets (4).
