Removing the side hood seal

Preliminary work

Refer to REMOVING THE COVER OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT ON THE REAR LEFT OR RIGHT .

NOTE: Description is for left component only. Procedure on the right side is identical.

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Release the connector from the holder.
Release the expanding rivet (2).
Remove seal (3) upwards and guide out the cable while doing this.
