Releasing the electromechanical parking brake in an emergency

Preliminary work 

• Refer to PREPARING THE REMOVAL OF THE EMF ACTUATOR .
• Refer to DETACH EMF ACTUATOR .

• Make sure that the spindle is not turned to the end stop!
• Turn back the spindle until the wheel can turn freely.
• Turn back the spindle of the brake caliper in clockwise direction using a Key range 7 Allen wrench (1)  .

At the end stop, a fault code is set which will cause the system to deactivate! When system is deactivated, clear the fault memory.
