Make sure the vehicle is operating temperature for engine oil service (engine oil temperature > 70°C).

Preliminary work
- Refer to FOLDING OPEN THE ACOUSTIC COVER .
- Refer to OPENING THE OIL FILLER CAP .
- Refer to REMOVING THE FRONT UNDERBODY PROTECTION OR FRONT THRUST FIELD .
- Refer to REMOVING THE UNDERBODY PROTECTION OF THE STEERING GEAR AND THRUST FIELD RESPECTIVELY .
- Refer to REMOVING THE STIFFENING PLATE .
- Refer to RELEASING THE OIL FILTER COVER .
- Refer to REMOVING THE OIL FILTER ELEMENT .
- Refer to REMOVING LOWER OIL PAN SECTION .
- Loosen screw (1) .
- Unscrew the banjo bolt (2) .
- Remove the control line (3) .
- Loosen screws (4) .
- Remove intake pipe with the oil strainer (5)
.
- Release the screws (1) on the oil pump camshaft sprocket with the special tool 0 493 434 (11 7 200) .
- Feed out camshaft sprocket from the oil pump and out of the roller chain and remove.
- Loosen nuts (1) .
- Loosen screw (2) .
- Remove oil pump (3) .
